Flash frame even in the Vegas FASST DVD?!

I am in a bum mood. I'm sure some of you saw the post on here I wrote a while back asking Sony about the apparent "flash frame" or "alien" frame problem in Vegas. Well I just happen to watch a sceen in a recent project I've already output and completed and noticed I have one towards the end of the program. A single frame from another part of the program, completly out of place.

Fast forward about 2 hours- I sit down to get through a little more of the Vegas FASST DVD where no more than 30 minutes I see a flash frame! I'm seeing things right?! I'm just paranoid because I've been having this problem. Hit pause and used the frame step button on my DVD player. NOPE- there WAS a flash frame. (Spot: it's in the section about downmixing....right during the time you talk about downmixing to a mono source- more specifically when you say the word "...possibly" in the one sentence a flash frame from the screen capture shows up. This *was* edited on Vegas correct?

Sony is there any way you've been able to reproduce this problem- please help!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I noticed this too -- the first time was in the middle of a hot-and-heavy edit session for a 24-Hour video race. Luckily, my DP saw the frame and we were able to remove it before turning in our tape.

While watching the FASST DVD I saw it again. Drat! It must be a real bug if it bit Spot too. I've reported the position to Spot so he could verify and pass it along to his friends in product development at Sony.

I actually haven't seen the finished product front to end, it was edited/assembled by one of our editors. It was reported to me after the VASST tour had started, so I'll be having to wait til the tour is off after Toronto to look. (I'm sure it's there if two people have reported it, but this will be the first I've seen of it)
Yes, it was edited in Vegas. I don't know the configuration of the machine it was edited on.

I hope the more people report the problem the likelyhood of them finding a comon thread increases. I honestly thought I was seeing things when I saw one on the VASST disc- beings it was litterally a few hours since I discovered one on my recent project output.

Anyway there were a few glitches apart from the flash frame, some of which were very bizzare:
-There were about 4 sections that had some mosiac noise like dirty heads on the camcorder that recoreded it
-odd behavior regarding chapter skipping (could be caused by the layer break in the DVD9 disc)
-Inconsistant audio- some sections sound loud and clear- others I find I have to crank up the volume to hear.
-Once section had what looked like an overlay- on top of your black VASST shirt I could feintly see the eye logos from the effects palette almost like my TV screen had burn-in. Being the worry-wart that I am I skipped around a few chapters to make sure it wasn't, indeed, burn-in. It wasn't...just an bizzare visual abnormality with that chapter.

No really huge problems just a heads up regarding little things that might be able to be aleviated possibly in future releases. If you need the time and chapter points to pin-point all the things I listed I'd be happy to provide them to you so you can take a look for yourself.

GmElliott, the tour doesn't get to Toronto until June 26.
