Hi,

Right click on the photo in the timeline. Select switches - Reduce Interlace Flicker.

Also, if this is a hi-res photo, you may want to try cropping it to 655 x 480 150dpi.

The tight lines of the shingles, bricks, stripes and other tight patterns generally cause this.

Since these are roof photos, my thinking is that there's a lot of sky in the background.
This translates to video levels that ex ceed the 235 max recommended for Vegas.
If this is the case, apply the Secondary Color Corrector FX using the "Computer RGB to Studio RGB" preset to these images.
This will bring the video levels down from 0-255 to 16-235 and should help.

Avoid using that Reduce Interlace Flicker setting, it really blurs the image more than needed. Add the Gaussian Blur FX. Adjust Horizontal to 0, adjust vertical at 0.001 to 0.003, should fix the problem.

Thanks very much Bob, this made a huge difference with a project I'm working on!!
I had always selected "reduce interlace flicker" and hoped it would work. I just applied .002 vertical Gaussian Blur to a very troublesome still and it looks great!!
Thanks again Bob,
Randy
