Here is what I am doing, I am just making some videos of my photos in VV4. I just drag them on the timeline, make some crop/pan effects, stick in some music and then want to render it out and eventually put it to (S)VCD. I ususally render uncompressed AVI then encode with a 3rd party product like TMPGENC but I have used the MainConcept Plug in in VV4 to go right to (S)VCD. Here is the problem, the video has some flicker/shimmer to it. You can barely see it on the PC but when put on a TV it is quite pronounced in some parts of the video more than others. What is causing this? Is it an Interlace-progressive thing or something else. Is there some filtering I should be doing first to clean this up. I keep everything at the highest resolution and I am using 17 MB uncompressed TIFF images as my source material so there should be plenty of quality there.
Please help if you can. I'll try anything.
