Flickering and other bugs in rendered video - EFFECTIVE SOLUTION!

Since the Vegas team has not yet fixed this bug, there is a workaround that not many people know about.

I often read advice from other users to reduce the Dram value to zero in the "Video" tab. This is bad advice. Because you won't be able to use Shift+B prerender, and the videos will be torn during playback between cuts.

The only solution is this:
Reduce the number of threads to 1.
Then restart your PC and render the video again.
You can have this value entered permanently.
It does not affect the smoothness of the playback.
It doesn't seem to affect anything. Only errors in the video.

Another tip:
If you have an Igpu Intel UHD 770 like me, then select it in the "video" tab as the main one. Compared to my old GTX970, the UHD770 is more stable.

I would appreciate it if the guys from the team would comment on this issue and explain the significance of changing threads and why it causes errors in the resulting video. Does the new Video engine promise to fix this problem as well?

It sounds like you have isolated your problem to multithread rendering.

This is usually not a problem, but bears further troubleshooting to narrow down the cause in your particular case.

You listed two graphics cards. Does the multithread rendering problem happen with both cards? Do they both have the latest stable drivers? Does turning of "GPU Acceleration of Video Processing" make a difference?

I stopped following this problem from the moment I found the solution in setting the number of fibers. The problems started already in Vegas 13 in combination with my Gtx970. The drivers were always up to date.

People who still have a problem with flashing should write here and write what configuration they have.

The only problem I see with your solution is that those who have purchased 32 core processors for multithreaded GPU processing and rendering, at the cost of their allowances for the next 27 years, may find it a tough sell . . .

Again, I think you may have happened upon a rule-out test for troubleshooting of GPU issues, and that is a big contribution to the body of knowledge on these forums..

Thank You.

I personally am not seeing any of the issues reported, and have max rendering threads set to 32. I am an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16 core 32 thread CPU.

But I am curious to read if others suffer from this and have tried changing threads to "1", and it solved the problem.
