Flickering during transition

I'd really appreciate it if someone knows a solution for this.

Currently using Movie Studio Platinum 13 and during a cross fade transition, these flickering lines appear on the preview video. They become even more noticeable after rendering it.

Let me know if you require any further information to find a solution to this problem as I'm new to making videos.

I'll leave a link to a 'test' video so you can see for yourself.

What model of camcorder is your original footage coming from and what format and resolution is it?

If your video isn't from a camcorder, open your videos in G Spot or Media Info and not the resolution, frame rate and video and audio codecs.

If your video is using a non-supported codec (compression method), you could be seeing artifacts of that compression.

I use a software program called Action! to record footage off my monitor.

I downloaded G Spot and here is the info I got:

Video
Codec: FICV
Name: <unknown>
Status: Codec(s) are NOT Installed

Audio
Codec: PCM Audio
Info: 48000Hz 1536kb/s tot (2 chnls)
Status: No Codec Required

Frames: 59.999
1920 x 1080

I hope this helps, I don't really understand codecs very well.

FICV is a Mirillis product codec. Vegas may not like it. Use their software to export to another format. Try to export to Full HD MP4.

Thanks for replying and thanks for the advice! Switching to MP4 seems to have fixed the issue.

Thank you so much!
