floating camera

hi - i'm looking for a plugin that will simulate the "floating" feel you get when using a steadicam held for a still shot. not zoom or tracking; just something that will give ever so slight movement to an otherwise totally still tripod shot. note: one can create this effect manually by drawing multiple slightly varied points in the keyframe event pan/crop editor, but it's quite a bit of work to do it all manually. thanks.

There's a script available (i believe for free) that simulates earthquakes. I would imagine you can probably adjust the parameters to slow down the movements and make them much shallower. That might get you close enough. Search the script forum for 'earthquake'.

NewBlueFX might have what you're looking for, they have a plug-in called "Active Camera." The plug-in is available in either their "Motion Effects" bundle or their "Sampler Pack." You can get a trial download.

The "Sampler Pack" was a bonus available to early up-graders to Vegas 9, that's how I got mine. I went to NewBlue and bought more of their effects packages. :-)

hi -
thankyou, i found the script, will try it in V8 and see if runs, unless you happen to know one way or 'tuther (it's referred to as created for V4 and runs in 5 and 6)
thanks
