"I have a .flv file from the web (says VLC media file (.flv)), and VMSP10 won't recognize it. I tried changing the extension to .mp4, but still no luck......Any ideas?

It did a quick google.com search and found this:

http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/202228-How-to-convert-flv-(flash-video)-to-avi-or-mpg

It's a long discussion but there seems to be a couple of solutions that work to varying degrees.

Thank you Sod for the quick reply. I glanced at the thread, and it looks like what I need! I will work on it tonight when I get home. Was hoping VMS could read it on its own, but I guess we all needed a little help along the way. ;) Thanks again. Cin

You can convert it with Super by Erigjhtsoft.
Might also try Handbrake.
