From the "EDIT" or "VIEW" menu (I don't have vegas in front of me right now).

Thanks. I managed to turn on a tab which placed the volume controls under the preview screen. I think both used to be visible all the time, but this way the preview screen is larger than it used to be.

There is a lot of really helpfull people on this site.

You can drag the side to make it smaller.

Not sure how you were able to place it underneath, unless it was undocked.......in any event, if you get too far off base you can reset VMS back to it's original settings and configuration simply by holding the 'shift' and 'ctrl' buttons at the same time IMMEDIATELY after you click to open the program. Just remember, if you had made any custom settings or changes, they will be gone. Let us know if it helps. Cin

Cin, I'm not sure either. I was testing the waters under the edit and view menus and like magic, it appeared. This is a pretty good setup with the volume controls on a tab under the preview screen.

I will have to remember the "cntl-shift" manuver for the time that my fingers leave me off in never-never land again.

Thanks
