FOR SONY EMPLOYEES: SERVICE RULES issues

First, there is a typo under "Service Rules" when registering for a membership in forums.
Check the following text at the bottom there:
"The Site has been designed primarily for personal use and is not is not intended to be used to host e-commerce businesses ...."

Second, I have an issue with ownership and "authorship"; if Sony will use any portion of our works or postings here, it would be fair that they simply mention the author. That would be the minimum they owe to an author.

That would be it on this issue for now!

Sony owns this site. I assume anything that is posted on it becomes property of Sony. Of course I could be wrong.

I doubt that Sony corporation or any of its subsidiaries would "use" the work product of any forum members, even if a member posts a link to another site. I don't mean this to be critical, but this site is used by forum members to communicate with each other and, at the discretion of Sony personnel, with them. That's why they call this a forum.

I do have to give credit to Sony for displaying contact information for and the author of some uploaded works, like templates etc. Althought I think that this is done mostly for technical support reasons.

The real issue here is that some really good tutorials and help articles or portions of them written by forum members, where a lot of effort, time and knowledge is put together by one person, and then Sony might simply use that somewhere, or someone else could do the same thing too.
All that I am asking for here is that at least Sony identifies the original author whenever possible in such cases; in other words, give credit where credit is due.

Whilst a nice idea I don't think it's practical in this day and age. You'd then have to have everyone here giving credit to their sources, many times people are rewording stuff straight from the documentation or help files or from other sites. To saddle this or any forum with that level of traceability would bog things down no end.
I thought the whole idea of forums and the internet in general was to bypass these traditional mechanisms in the hope of having more open dialogues.
