For Vegas Pro 20 Build 214, Which Settings Should I Use for This?

*NOTE: The radio station I work for does audio at 128kbps mp3, 16-bit, 44.1 to save space on master hard drive.

  • AMD Phenom II x4 810 Processor, 2600 Mhz, 4 Cores
  • Installed Physical Memory: 8.00GB
  • Available Physical Memory: 4.30GB
  • Total Virtual Memory: 9.00GB
  • Available Virtual Memory: 5.38GB
  • 3.5 TB External Hard Drive (2.7TB Available)
  • Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 3200

Please give me the exact numbers I should use to fill out both project and render settings...all of 'em! THANK YOU SO MUCH--I really need any help anyone can provide!

This system is 13 years old? Is your version of Vegas also from that era? I wouldn't expect it to work with recent versions of Vegas.

Try SonyAVC for the render.
Usually audio sample rates for video are 48KHz.

Given the age of this system I'm not sure any GPU acceleration would work. This GPU dates from 2008.

You can try to emulate old versions of Vegas by going to preferences/video and turning off GPU and also off on preferences/ file io. Check "enable legacy AVC". Render to a SonyAVC template (or MagixAVC if you like) with Mainconcept encoder at your preferred settings for bitrate.

For audio since this is video I'd still render at 16-bit 48KHz AAC.
