Or will I need to spend money each year? Here in the UK, it works out as US$29.98. I'm concerned that this relatively small utility would require an annual fee?

Hi Grazie, it is a one-time fee for the purchase of this version, not a subscription or an annual fee. In case we make significant new additions and major new releases (let's say CCFS 5.0), we may have an upgrade fee for existing licenses (much like Vegas Pro), so it's not a perpetual license for all future releases. Hope this clarifies.

No it's not explained this way on site, as we thought this was the traditional boxed software model that everyone was used to. I'll see if we can be explicit about it.
