Foreign Language Dub-Over

I have a 12 minute instructional video I produced in VV3 in the English language, about 1/3 talking head and the rest illustrations. Now my client wants a Spanish version. I have never done this before. Anyone out there with this kind of experience willing to pass on some tips? Thanks!

mute the English voiceover track and leave the rest of the audio tracks intact.

Create a Spanish VO track and remix. Change graphics as needed.

You can do all of this in the same project as the original if you are careful.

Also, you need to take a stop watch and get timings of all the original voice parts in English. Then you have the Spanish speaker match those timings, that way you need not edit any video. Usually you tell the voice person his timing he needs to read a line in and then he reads the line 3 times in a row, and you give him the timing and right them down on a "take sheet" immediately after he reads each line so he knows whether to speed up or slow down and you have a record of all the timings when you need to go back and edit the parts in. You also use your stop watch when you do this type of recording. It's fast and effecient and standard practice in this type of work. You need not to work to the video this way, which makes things go along much quicker.
