Format frustration

I understand that, when rendering for DVD from Vegas we have to render 2 seperate files video/audio (Actually.. I don't understand it, but I accept it.) What's frustrating is that,VEGAS itself can't read the very file format it rendered to (AC3). So I really can't play back that DVD file I rendered accept in DVD Arch. Which means I generally have to render 2x. Once for DVD Arch and then again as an MP4.
FRUSTRATING!!!!!
Why can't Vegas just play back my AC3 audio ???? (or am I missing something?)

Have you tried outputting your movie's audio as a WAV or SonyWav64 file? If your audio file has the same name as your video file, DVD Architect will automatically join them together when you add one or the other to a DVD Arch project.

By the way, you don't have to output a separate audio and video stream if you don't want to. Just select the output template listed as Program Stream rather than Video Stream. A program stream includes both audio and video in one file.
