We are actually working towards a newgroup access to the forums.
IMHO, this will be the best way to access the forums.

Soon I hope.

Vegas Users:

I agree with previous posts requesting that SonicFoundry revamps the
forum, to make it more visually attractive, with the appropriate
atmosphere that will relax visitors while taking resident's attention
away from the sad daily reality of not having ASIO. To this end, I
propose the guidelines for the person that will design the pages of
what will be the called the "V-Forum":

1. In tune with its name, the background of every page in the forum
will have an 800x600pixel picture of Elvis Presley.

2. For REGISTERED USERS only: some java applets with games of Russian
Roulette, Liar's Poker and Digital Dominoes, while password access
guarantees that participants can gamble freely while discussing
latency issues.

3. Since prostitution is legal in Vegas, I think that a few links to
porn sites on the net would be very welcome, not to mention the
additional revenue that the "Click 4 Kicks" section would bring to
SonicFoundry.

4. A "ShowStoppers!" section, where users can upload their songs, with
the worst mix earning a free copy of "VegasPro 1.0b".

5. A "Trojan Cookie" that will install itself on the user's hardrive,
search for all illegally downloaded DX plugins and Mp3's, sending the
information to David Powell and Metallica (in that order).

6. Finally, an ATR (automated tech rep) that will respond to any
legitimate complaint with a randomly selected lie from a weekly
changing pool of excuses.

Sincerely,

Victor.
