If you're going to disable resampling then just put it on the 30p timeline and disable resampling. There's no need to generate an intermediate.

It's best to do what gives you the result you desire. Try some short sections both ways and see what happens. My personal preference would be to have a global setting to always disable resampling in all cases, without exception. Some folks prefer the blurring of frames to the jerkiness of mismatched cadence. I don't.

I'm with Kelly on this one. Seems like there ought to be a global setting to disable resampling. In the meantime, this script helps me: SetResample.zip
