Frame drops with 60d footage in Vegas 11 511

Does anone else have this problem using footage straight from a sd card out of a canon 60d/5d,etc? I am seeing a major drop when you crossfade anything like this on the time line.I get it at all levels of preview. I tried the cineform convert and it is a bit better but I believe in veg 10 it was better than it is now. Can someone else confirm? Thanks

A crossfade requires real-time rendering in order to preview. So do other transitions, effects, pan/crop, generated media, resizing, or anything that is not the existing footage. Either your system processing resources can keep up with it, or they cannot.

The simple answer is to pre-render your effects and transition sections, either by RAM or by file. That is the reason those options exist.

You were asked for your system specs in this thread, and you have said nothing about your project properties either, so I wonder why are you asking exactly the same question again?

David, you need to revisit | My Account | Forum Settings, and make sure you have ticked the option "Display system information on my forum profile page."
