frame rate

I am still using Vegas Movie Studio 9. I discovered that it does not support 59.94 framerate...only 29.97 or lower. When I try to import 59.94 video, i get spaces between all clips, even when I set the project properties to 59.94.

SO, I've been considering upgrading to Vegas Pro 10 anyway for other reasons...can anyone tell me if Vegas Pro 10 supports 59.94 frame rate???? Is there a decent spec sheet on this software anywhere?

I am also wondering what the point of the 3D stereoscopic editing is when DVD architect doesn't seem to support blu-ray 3D authoring...but that's another thread.

Try setting the Movie Studio timeline ruler format to 59,94.

Isn't that what I am doing when I set the framerate in Project Properties?

No, this is a different adjustment which you can access via the ruler tab in the project properties window.

Though I just realized you cannot set the ruler to 59,94. Set it to "Time and Frames" or to "Absolute Frames" instead.

THANKS! I think that's it, although I had to clean the 'project media' to get it to stop adding the frames between clips.

Amazing how many things there are to learn about editing...been doing some very in-depth editing for several years with this software and this is news to me!

Ugh...well, it still inserts frames about every other clip, but at least now I can bring them together--before if I tried to bring them together, they'd either overlap slightly or have a space between them...but this does help! thanks again!
