Frame Rate On New 7950X AM5 System

I am very impressed.

I await a 7900XTX, but decided to grab my 6800XT out of my 5950X system. I had a RX570 in the 7950X as I casually set it all up and tweaked it and backed up the OS.

ASUS B650 PLUS - mother board.

32GB Corsair RAM, 5200

7950X 360mm AIO

W10 Pro.

A reasonably complicated 1080p job at 10-14mbs data rate usually gets me 160-180 fps average on this job. 7950X + AMD VCE got me 210-230 fps. Dramatic. I guess it's the memory? Opinions? Also - whats expected from the memory and load sharing of the new 7900XTX with IGP in the 7950X? Any ideas?

Please compare apples to apples and try submitting results for 1080p and UHD MagixAVC renders to this user-run benchmark.

DDU uninstall all AMD drivers, install the current pro one and try again?

Looking at the results you got the 6th best time overall and within a few seconds of the best render time so quite good! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1b3ggVifKsuT-cp2kQHjum_KnQ4-2jBmUIvzmu7BQZ34/edit?usp=sharing

The playback framerate is much lower than expected though. It's possible Vegas is finding remnants of old drivers which is why I suggested to do a DDU uninstall when switching GPUs. We don't have much data on the performance of AMD iGPU decoding so you could also test with that off and see how it performs (preferences, file io).
