I notice that VV3, as opposed to previous versions, snaps events to frames even when snapping is turned off? Am I right?
This is good as I used to often trim clips in the trimmer and drag them to the timeline, double-click them to set the loop region around it, then render -just- the loop region to a file. Without frame-snapping, it would allow me to size the event in between frames, which would result in a black frame at the beginning or end of the file or both. I generally only did this when preparing clips for VJ software, where it is crucial that the file loop seamlessly.
This seems to be bad for sizing audio however. If I plan to work on an audio-only project, I'd want to size audio events to a precision finer than 1/30 second.
Is there a way to defeat this snapping?
