Freezing a single frame?

Hey all,

How could I freeze a single frame for a given length of time? I tried copying & pasting a single frame repeatedly, but that seems like a kludgy way to do a simple task.

Any suggestions?

I usually get a snapshot image of the frame I want and import it as a .PNG or .TGA file.

First get to the frame you want. Set the preview window to BEST. Hit the 'Copy Snapshot' button on the preview window. Paste it in your favorite image editor and save it out as a TGA or PNG or whatever you prefer so you can import it onto your timeline.

I like the velocity env method mentioned before. Seems a lot easier than this one.

Hey, thanks for turning the light on for me there. It hadn't occurred to me to use a velocity envelope, but it makes perfect sense.
