FREEZING MOVIE STUDIO HD PLATINUM

I purchased the Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum software, version 10.0, Build 179 fall of 2010.

I have tried using in multiple times on 3 separate computers, all running on Windows 7. I even tried uninstalling and re-installing the software.

My problem?

I can't import, edit, play, move, etc any .avi files. Each time I try, the software freezes and I have to hard boot the computer to try again.

Nothing has worked. I have been forced to revert back to Version 8, Build 122, that runs on Windows XP. I even had to create an XP shell on my Windows 7 computers to do this.

I love this program, but version 10 is NOT working. I spent good money on a product that does not work.

I need a solution OR I need a refund.

I'm very surprised you can't get the program to work on any computer. It runs like a dream on both my old XP and new Windows 7 computer. In fact, it runs a heck of a lot better than most of the high-end programs I'm running!

Normally I'd suggest things like ensuring your computers are updated and defragged but -- three different computers?! Unless there's some virus they're all three sharing, I'd say something is very wrong there.

Could be a defective installation disc. Have you tried downloading the program from the web site and seeing if it installs better?

If that doesn't work, I'd definitely give up. If you can't even install this program, there's something going on much deeper than we'll be able to help you with.
