Frequency Morphing Direct X plugins?

Hello,
I'm wondering if any of you know if there are any
frequency morphing Direct-X plug-ins that would be usable
with Sonic Foundry products.
By Frequency Morphing plug-in I mean something that
analyzes a musical piece and after "learning" its frequency
characteristics would then let you apply it to new
material. (Arboretum has a plug-in but it's not Direct X).
Thanks,
Brett

Wouldn't that be the good old Steinberg Freefilter?

It works like an "adaptive EQ" where you first analyze a segment of
audio, the source, then likewise analyze the target, resulting in two
EQ footprints which you can morph between to find the mix of your
taste. This is not really in the frequency domain, as it is nothing
but an analyzer fed into an EQ, but it sure has its purposes.

And, it's avaliable as a Direct-X plug-in.

Have you been able to get Freefilter to work with vegas? I'm using
v1.0b, and haven't had any luck, I always get a crash when I get to
the match stage. Works fine with Wavelab, naturaly, but not with
Vegas. I'm using the version in Steinberg Mastering Edition.

Well, I haven't tried it in Vegas since I don't own the plug-in. I
just played around with it over at my friend's Cubase-based studio a
few months ago. No help there =/
