@frOsty : multicam split view without the multicam track enabled??

Hi frOsty
on my multicam thread, you commented :
A multicam track isn't needed to display a preview of what is happening on the tracks on the timeline... just enable multicam mode and you get your split screen MC view, the tracks remain the same. When you make a cut to, say, camera 2, it splits all the tracks at that point, and mutes all but camera 2 automatically.
I asked you back a couple of times about this, because it's just not happening that way here, but you might not have seen my question. So I'd just like to ask again - is this really so, and if so, how do you manage to do that? On my Vegas, there is absolutely NO split screen view until I enable the master multcam track, which is a real PITA.
