frozen dvd & digital artifacts

I rendered a file using the MPEG2 platform with a high bit-rate. When transfered to DVDA, I created multiple chapters and then burned at a
high bit-rate. The finished products played well on the PC using WINDVD but froze up halfway when played on Table-top players.

So, what am I doing wrong?

I would try some different machines to check the problem. If it still persists, then i would try some other manufacturers disk, I have always found Verbatim to be flawless, using DVDA and a pioneer 105.
