Frustrated - Render does not match preview

Here's the situation. Have recreated the problem in 5.0a and 5.0b.

Track 1:
Chromakey the frame
Pan Crop - zoom out and shift. Add a bezier mask. Position the result over a specific location of material on track two.

Track 2:
Simple background video upon which track one must be aligned very specifically.
Pan Crop to 16x9 (probably not relevant but it is what I did)

Review the 4 seconds of video frame by frame to make sure the position is correct. Preview is Best Full.

Render to Mpeg2 for DVDA. Review result file.

The overlay is not in the same postion as during the preview. It is shifted off the position from the preview. Its probably only 20 pixels or so, but enough to ruin the effect.

The mis-match gets worse when I use keyframes and move the bezier masks over time. This time it was simple so I was very surprised when it did not match.

Any suggestions on how to work around this behaviour?

20 pixels? That's a LOT to be off, not just a little.
Anyway....shouldn't be, and I'm not seeing this behaviour in my build, which is 160, nor an earlier installed build I've got as well. Sure you don't have a 'hidden' keyframe where one is so close over another?
Just for kicks, try rendering a new section as uncompressed on a new track, and encode that small section. See if you still have shift. If so, you definitely have an off keyframe somewhere.
Or, are you previewing as square pixels and tracking off of that somehow? Have you previewed to an external monitor to better check this?

OK - thanks for the ideas.

Rebooted computer and re-reneder and its right this time. Maybe something weird was happening as I had been at it so long.

The reason for the reboot was a crash in vegas. Was shuttling in reverse at high speed and the dreaded crash window. Funny thing was vegas continued to run in the background until I respond to the box and then it went away.

Thanks for the insight. I may dig out the other project that did almost the same thing and see if it behaves now.
