Full Screen 16x9

I'm trying to make a photo montage that plays on my 16x9 television w/o any black borders. I took the pictures, high resolution jpegs, on a digital still shot camera. I'm trying to use DVD-A to create the DVD, but my MPEG2 file from Vegas is just not filling the screen. I've tried a number of things, but the best I've been able to achieve is full width, but not full heigth. Any suggestions?

Yes, thank you. I don't have a lot of experience with Vegas. I right clicked on the clips and changed the properties of the media to NTSC Widescreen. That was the step that I wasn't doing.
