FX applied with no FX in project?

OK, looking in split screen preview window both on PC or external monitor.
One Video track, zero FX applied to it.

Preview is set to Best Full.

There is a significant difference in the image on either side of the split screen. So what's happening?

One side of the split image has much more saturation and noise than the other, like sharpening and saturation FX are applied.

Did that first thing. no effects at any level, media, project, track, event.

Let's try some basic "investigative approaches" to root out this problem.

Start off with a new project.

Add some media (clips) to the project timeline.

Switch split screen on.

Is the effect there? (I doubt it.... it just does not make sense if it is).

Now add some media from your other project to this one.

Still no difference?
