NicRAM wrote on 9/18/2018, 10:11 AM

I have just started the adventure of film editing and I have the following problem. By adding the FX Bezier Mask, I should immediately see the editing area, but unfortunately it does not appear. In the tutorial it starts automatically. What am I doing wrong? I have two movies and I add effect to the first one on the list - and nothing appears in the preview window :( Please help me :)

I have VEGAS PRO 16 (Build 261)

Where is your cursor situated?
Do you work on laptop or desktop?

I work on a laptop: ASUS UX410UQK Intel i5-7200U CPU 2.5Ghz 2.71Gz 16GB RAM two graphic cards Intel HD Graphics 620 and NVIDIA GeForce 940MX - I realize that for video editing it is not the most powerful equipment :)

My cursor is on the preview window. The cursor changes the appearance to the "hand" but nothing else I can't do. Is my equipment too slow for this effect?

I think your problems are caused by the Nvidia driver you have installed.
Also changes in all FX's you don't see until you close the FX window.
Best solution is to install the newest Nvidia drivers version 399.24

Thanks, driver update helped fix some of the problem. Unfortunately, another problem appeared. A rectangle with a second mask appears under the mask area - I can't eliminate it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ugp25d1wuofpobi/FX%20Bezier%20Mask.JPG?dl=0

Strange - after closing the FX Event window I have a cross-shaped cursor and I can mark the visible area of this unwanted rectangle, but still can’t delete it.

You have split screen preview enabled. Disable it and the rectangle should disappear.
