FX from 1st Superman movie?

Anybody remember, from the 1st Superman movie, the effect where the people appeared to be in/on a flying mirror/picture? The mirror flew, rotated, etc. through space. Any suggestions on achieving this effect in VV3? Is this a part of the 3D effect?

You can use the 3D PlugInPac to get close to that effect. The various controls allow tumbling, (sort of) you can use another 3D PlugInPac to shatter and break apart too. For best effect try not to tumble too fast and change "Z" or depth, so the object appears to move closer/further from the camera as it tumbles. That's how I remember it anyway. My cape and tights are at the cleaners. <wink>

It was 60 pounds for me, but I was 14. :-) I think it's amazing to see how far we've come since then. 24 years ago, kids my age couldn't imagine creating anything like the FX in films we saw. Now, kids are making digital videos with 3D animation, particle effects (light sabers), chroma keying and complex compositing effects like the Bullet Time effect from The Matrix. I can't wait to see what kids will be capable of 24 years from now.
