FX icons look same...

With Vegas 5, how do I differentiate clips on timeline that have effects applied and those without. They all look the same to me.

The effects chain icon (lower right corner of the clip on the timeline) should change from white to green when an effect is applied.

Without the effect, the icon is light blue with a white outline. Is this how it should look ?

Yes, it does turn to a green shade with an effect applied.
