It does appear that you can only apply audio effects to the entire track. Vegas allows effects to be applied to individual events. Oh well.

Are you using all three audio tracks? If not, you could move only those sections of the audio to another track and apply the reverb to only that other track. Split the audio at the beginning and end of the section you want to effect, hightlight that section, then press 8 or 2 on the number keypad to move that piece up or down to an adjacent track.

If you are using all 3 tracks, you could split the audio and then apply the effects with an external audio editor.

Thanks, I will try this. I have free audio tracks.
I was just afraid that I would loose the synch between picture and sound, but perhaps your method is more exact than just drag and drop.
