FX Package migration to new PC

I purchased (built) a new PC for my studio. I had been using Vegas 7.0 on the old PC. I installed it on the new PC, used it for a few days, and then upgraded to 8.0. I have a lot of audio FX Packages and want to migrate them to the new PC> I located them in the following folder on the OLD PC:

c:\Program Files/Sony/Vegas6.0\Presets\FX Packages.

There were a lot of folders, with odd looking names, but in each folder were all the presets I've created. Evidently, 7.0 had been using and saving all FX Packages I'd create into the 6.0 folder. Fine by me.

But, when I copied all of these into both the 7.0 and 8.0 folders of the new PC, they don't show up.; Does Vegas need to 'learn' where they are? Has anybody else experienced this?

BTW: once I get everything copied over, i'll no longer be using Vegas on the old PC, as it will become my 'internet' PC.

thx.
