Gapping in Middle and ending of projects.

Using Vegas Video 2.0 with plentty of RAM and prosesing power, I find that I get Gapping in the middle and end of projects. I have adjusted my buffer to no avail. I have even Rendered 8 Tracks to 4 and turned off all plug-ins. Still I get this Problem. I watched my CPU usage meter for Windows XP and it stays around 50% most of the time and then jumps to 100% Towards the end of the projects. However when I mix down to stereo and open it up in Sound Forge, it's fine.

It's only after I have done about 20 Projects on a fresh format and install. I think somthing gets corupted with time.

I had this problem in a track - I found out that the FX automation on the Sonic Foundry resonant filter plugin seems to make the CPU spiral out of control as it swept through certain frequencies.

Downright weird!

To solve it I just rendered the filtered item to a fresh track and took out the plug.

Don't know if this'll help. Just check all your plugs that automate as the CPU spikes...

Nothings working, but I remembered that I use to record tracks using Acid 2 and I would have the same problem. I't may be my sound card, have to check that.

Any other ideas welcome
