gearshift 1.5 plugin HDV

I wondered if anyone is successful using Gearshift 1.5 plug in which does a proxy on all the captured HDV files so that you can accurately edit DV proxies of the HDV files without having to render intermediate files.
Anybodies experience with this or any other solutions would be appreciated.

Gearshift is a great product!
Ive used it quite often when doing stuff on my laptop on the road.
For projects that Im working on at home and have used the cineform avi's ,I make gearshift proxies edit with those on my laptop then use gearshift to convert back to the cineform orig avis when Im back at the main editing machine at home.

It works nicely because you can use gearshift with various orig files,...be it the m2t files or YUV or theCFD's.
