Get rid of audio fx

Aje wrote on 12/5/2007, 5:23 AM
I have asked this before (3 years) and then got an advicce
but I cannot find it and searching posts gave nothing.
Now it happens again and its still very frustrating
PROBLEM: Every time I load video/audio or insert an audiotrack
the audiotrack fx-button is green and loaded with unwanted fx.
I can easily delete the fx - when I remember it ....!
After 3 hours render when I´ve forgotten to delete ......sigh!
I´ve tried the set default track properties with no fx but it doesn´t help.
How do I get rid of this "preloaded" fx.
I remember that it was rather easy but no obvius way to do it.

The default FX are disabled i.e. don't do anything and although there is way to make them go for good I've never sweated over this enough to remember how to do it.

Set up the track effects the way you want them to be (probably none). Right-mouse-button click in the track header and from the popup menu choose 'set default track properties'. In that dialog box make sure only effects is checked. Click ok. You can also use this same method to set lots of other default aspects for new tracks, both audio and video.

Yes thats the way!
I had tried to deselect audio fx with no effect but
to select with no fx and deselect all the other options did it.
Thanks I now understand the workflow and shall never forget.
