I am commentating over videos that I watch back in full screen in the Video Display area. I have the Preview Display set to Preview - Full. However, at certain times when I'm watching the playback of the video, I get black screens. Sometimes the video just flickers, and then corrects itself, but more frequently, what happens is that it just turns into a black screen.
As a result, I have to exit out of the recording session, close Vegas Pro 11, and then try again. It sometimes occurs more than once per session, but it always occurs at least one time per session; however, one time is enough, in my opinion.
Am I missing any patches or anything like that that fixed this issue? I'm using Sony Vegas 11.0 (Build 701) 64-Bit. I believe that is the most up-to-date build. If anyone has any input that could end my troubles, I'd be extremely grateful. Thanks very much for any help that you can provide.
P.S. I just wanted to clarify that the black screens that I'm getting, they are only while watching the video back before it has been rendered. I do not get black screens on videos I've rendered. Just in the preview screen.
