This is a first for me. Maybe because this project is very complex. I have one video track that's split in maybe a hundred places with several FX filters applied plus 6 audio tracks each with a audio envelope for volume adjustment. I got (guess) about 150 points set in the various audio tracks to adjust volume.
I get this error when previewing regardless if I play from the start or start 5-15 minutes later on the timeline: "An error occurred while starting playback, unable to mix audio. The operation timed out". This error happens at various points, but not at any one point on the timeline, varying when I play it. Somewhere between 17:30 and 19:00. Prior to that section of the timeline everything plays fine and the tracks are just as complex. Tried to render this problem area alone and it also gets the same error message even if I add/change some of the audio tracks around.
Is this due to maxing out memory, or some system limitation? I'm using XP, NTFS, 256 RAM and have tons of hard drive space. Paging file is about 350 MB
