Getting SF 9.0e to work with Vegas 9.0c x64

A while back I "upgraded" my Operating System to Vista x64 and installed Vegas 9.0c x64. I just discovered I have a problem with my Sound Forge 9.0e processing. I right click on my audio clip on the timeline and "Open in Sound Forge". After I do my processing, I try to save & exit and get the following error:

A "wave 2" file is created under the "Project Media" tab, but I can't save the updated file after applying Sound Forge processing. I'm sure this is a configuration problem. Can anyone help?

Thanks,
...Jerry

JErry - instead of opening in SF9, do the "open a copy in Sound Forge" option. The reason you get this error is that the file is locked by Vegas and can't be modified by SF9. Once you do a copy, it will replace your original file with the new copy you modified.

Cliff,

Thanks for the reply. I did "open a copy in Sound Forge", but something strange was happening. After further analysis, it turns out only one clip had the problem - and when I opened the copy in SF, it did NOT show "media offline" on the Vegas audio track.

Well, I closed down the project, deleted all the newly created files and everything works a-okay now. I'm attributing this problem to Cosmic Rays!

Edit: In retrospect, I may have done an "Open in Sound Forge" (not - "copy") once, then tried to open copies and that may have been what screwed me up.
