Getting teh audio back

patreb wrote on 7/23/2004, 11:40 AM
We edited a project by chosing video only from the clips and now having finished the vusaul part if the edit we need to get the audio back to know where to put in the extra sounds and stuff. Is there an easy way to get that audio back? Or do i have to go into each clip and matche the firs and last frame manualy and replace the original clip?

Ooh! This gets the exact same answer as the posting by tjglfr a couple postings away, except in that case it was the video that needed to be recovered.

Put the cursor on the part you want, right-click the video event, and select "open in trimmer". Both the audio and video tracks will appear in the trimmer, from which you can copy the audio back into the timeline.

Yes, but in the trimer i get the full clip without teh In and Out. How can i get the in and out points without having to set it manually in the trimer?

Double-click on the event in the timeline before selecting in the trimmer. The in and out points in the trimmer will match the edges of the event.
