Getting the buttons appear in middle of timeline

Hi,

I had an idea to create a menu where you see it opens with slides as video (fade in/out between) and then the menu itself appear (an animated video, possibly part of the first video, or another if not possible).

The problem are the buttons for the actual menu - I don't want them to appear in the begginning of the menu, and I want to somehow be able to animated them - meaning the buttons will slowly appear.

Main problem is the timeline - I cannot seem to find how I can make the buttons appear in the menu seconds after it kicks in.

Any ideas please?

Thanks,

Open the help file and search for "Delayed Buttons"

Hi,

Thanks a lot of the assistance :)

Only thing left is to animate the buttons, like adding fade in/out and add transition on the button, if possible. Any idea maybe? I also have the VMS HD 10 - would using it perhaps assist with this, or does the DVDA have a fade in (at least) effect for the buttons?

Thanks again :)

In DVD-A Pro, you can fade buttons in, but it sounds like you may be using the Studio version, the capabilities of which I'm not certain.

In the Index, search for "animating", and select Animating Buttons with Keyframes, if it shows up.

Hi,

I'm not familiar with DVD-Pro A - is this the Architect 5 or different software?

Also, I couldn't find anything about "Animating Buttons with Keyframes" - might you be more specific please?

Thanks

There are two versions of DVD Architect: the Studio version and the Pro version. The latter comes only with the Vegas Pro editor and includes a number of advanced facilities not available in the Studio version - including buttons with keyframes.

Hi,

Thanks - is it possible to upgrade/purchase the DVD A Pro ? Do I have to upgrade the whole suite (to Vegas Pro 9.) in order to get the Pro edition of the DVD A?

You have to upgrade the whole suite.
