I have ACID 3.0 and some ACID loop libraries. I also have Vegas (2.0 LE). When I drop a drum loop into Vegas I need to be able to make the grid (ruler/snap) line up with the loop so I can slice, copy, paste, etc. How do I get the ruler to line up with the loop?
is the loop and the vegas project your dropping it into at the same tempo? If not, change the tempo in Vegas by clicking file/properties and then the "rule tab. Or, you can stretch the loop by putting the mouse curser at its end and "control" dragging it to the desired tempo.
Hope this is what you were after.

I tried this originally but can't make them match. I would rather not strech anything and just make the ruler right. How do I know what the original loop temp is? Should I be setting this using bpm? I tried all the tempos I thought it should be and no match. Is there any way to pick a loop and tell the program to use this as the ruler spacing? AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH. Seems like this would be a really simple thing and work automatically as they are both SF products.
start all your loops in acid.
export each loop(by loop i mean the loop once not a number of times.if its 4 beats export it as 4 beats)
in the "save at project tempo" option.then open loops saved at tempo in vegas.YOU MUST SET VEGAS GRID AT SAME TEMPO AS ACID,dont worry they sync great.then use paste repeat in edit menu.paste loops even spacing not end to end.you will see"paste x amount of times every 1 measure" or whatever you want it to do.
dont resist!this is the way you do it.if it seems odd now you will get used to it and you will love it!
p.s. you can tell how much a loop is being stretched by the colored bar on each track of acid, its in the volume fader area.
Thanks a bunch, i will try this. I would have thought there would be some command that would just make a loop you select the ruler spacing as this seems like it would be a common approch. Thanks.
