Getting video preview when capturing HDV (HV20)

When I capture HD from my HV20 in Sony Vegas 8 Pro I can't get preview video on my computer screen. Things seem to capture ok, but how do i get preview video to show in vegas?

btw, when i used the external capture app and my old Panasonic GS80 i always got preview. not sure if that is worth mentioning or not.

Try sliding the capture window to make it larger or undocking it. The first time I tried capturing HD in the internal capture in Vegas 8 Pro I didn't think I was getting preview either. It turned out the preview window in the upper left-hand corner was squeezed so small that I didn't even notice it. I don't always use the external monitor so then I make the edit preview window, in the right-hand corner, as large as possible. I discovered that doesn't leave any room for the capture window. When I used Studio Platinum I didn't have it docked so it made no difference. Just something to try.
