I have VMS 6 Platinum, and I'm looking for some kind of shiny highlight effect to accent an image for just a second or two.

What I want is similar to what you can do with the Lens Flare effect, but I really just want a single start burst and highlight that I can move around (with keyframes), without all the other circles.

I tried playing with the Light Rays effect, but that's still not quite what I had in mind. (I'd like a little starburst highlight that moves across some letters in the image of a scout badge for just a quick second or so...)

Any suggestions? (Especially any *easy* suggestions, since I'm still pretty new at this...) I might be able to do it by creating a still image of a small circle on a black background with the light rays effect coming out of it, then compositing that on top of my image, but that's starting to get complicated (for a beginner).

Any easier way? Am I missing something?
