Glitches in Audio Track

We put music tracks on two of the wedding projects, and one of them has some annoying "skips." The music came from an audio CD and plays just fine when I run the WAV file in Windows Media Player.

I tried deleting the track and reinserting it with similar results. There are no other audio tracks on the project. The music on the other wedding project file came out fine.

Is it possible that I recorded at too high of a level, and if so, how to I control that?

I inserted the music into the Music track by drag-and-drop from the Media Pool.

This may be a dumb question, but are you hearing the skips when previewing within Movie Studio, when playing the final rendered file (e.g. .avi or MPEG), or both?

If just when previewing in Movie Studio, I've seen this happen as well, but when I rendered it out the odd skips/cracks disappeared. You could just render out a small section that includes the skips to test this theory.

Voila! It played back just fine when I rendered it to avi. Thanks for the suggestion.
