I have a quad 9550, 4 gig of 667mhz ram , xp pro. Would changing the ram to 1066 mhz make a difference in rendering speed. I throw the neat filter on and rending takes forever and its sd.
Well, that's not entirely true, if you're running DDR2 800 RAM with a processor and motherboard capable of using 1066 RAM, then there would be a slight increase in rendering speed. However, Neat Video is computationally intense and it's never going to be a speed demon. On my Quad-core with SD, I get about a 5 to 1 ratio on rendering with Neat Video. Usually about five hours to render an hour of material.
