Good A/V Laptop configuration?

Wondering what's a good affordable A/V laptop these days? Also interested in control surfaces and soundcards for laptops.

There's been lots of discussion on laptops here I think. Do a search in the forum under laptop and related terms and I think you'll find some good advice.
