GOOD rendering quality degrades image

We have been doing tests and noticed that in 6.0c when we have our render output setting on GOOD the quality of the original avi drops- it softens noticably. Is this normal?

We usually bring into Vegas uncompressed 24bit AVI's output from 3D programs. These are crisp images at the project settings - PAL standard 720 x 576.
If we drop a clip on the timeline and render out (without any image manipulation etc) at PREVIEW mode we get an exact copy of the clip. If we change our settings to GOOD (as per Vegas suggestion) we end up with a soft image. This used to happen in BEST mode on past versions but now seems to be happening in GOOD. Has the software changed in the latest release - anyone noticed this?

Interesting, I'm another PAL user and haven't noticed this however certainly the render engine seems to have changed as some other issues I used to have appear to be fixed.
My understanding was that Good uses linear interpolation and Best uses Bicubic however unless pixels are being remapped this doesn't make any difference.
