good software, bad computer

I think that i figured out the problem to my other topic, my computer is a piece of crap. slow everything, is there any way to spruce it up with out spending a lot of money?

Two features are crucial to Vegas: ram and brute cpu power. Unfortunately, there is little you can do about this without spending some money....
