.... SoFo products with resonably hi-profile ads (colour, 1/2 page) in current industry mags. Have seen Acid 4 and CDA5, but not V4 or SForge (lately) yet.
Actually, that reminds me of something I read a little while back in EQ magazine. Sonic Foundry should check it out. It's EQ Mags January 2003 issue. Article titled "Let's Get Looped" by Craig Anderton. Usually, I highly respect the articles that Craig writes and the advice he gives. I also notice that he uses Sound Forge and acid quite a bit for his demonstrations in his articles. In this article, it seems that someone from Sonic Foundry took a leak in his Cheerios that day. In this article he's demonstrating looping techniques using Cakewalk's "Plasma".
The first Sonic Foundry jab comes by saying "The program that put looping on the map, Sonic Foundry's ACID, has since grown into a sophisticated program with a list price to match."
Next Jab:
SOUNDS "Loop CDs with 'acidized' WAV files are plentiful. The most prolific producer of such CDs is, perhaps NOT surprisingly, SONIC FOUNDRY. Sample CDs typically cost around $30-$100, so getting a big collection together can be pricey."
The thing I really find ironic about this article is that he makes a reference to "FIG. 1",which says "Fig.1 shows a before-and-after example of fixing a loop in Plasma's Loop construction window."
but there's NO figure 1 located anywhere on the page....That must be because they put a Sonic Foundry add for CD Architect 5.0 over the top of it. Lol!!! Nice Craig, somebody forgot to remind him of the bitting the hand that feeds you paradox!!!
