'Good' vs. 'Bad' Video Media Generat

When add text media to a new .veg file, I encounter the Video Media Generator I call the 'good' one. It has a single dialog where I can enter the text with its font size, screen position, and color. But when I edit the text media in a .veg file that's a few months(?) old, I encounter what I call the 'bad' Video Media Generator (VMG). It says "(Legacy) Text" in the title, and has separate tabs for Edit, Placement, and Properties. The font sizes don't match the ones in the 'good' VMG (e.g. 10 equates to about 18). The Placement values aren't compatible (e.g. .50 for center in the 'good' VMG vs. 0.000 in the 'bad' one). Worst of all, I can't seem to tweak the colors (for example to make the text colors of an earlier .veg file match the ones I'm using now). The 'good' VMG defaults to an HSV system, which I've been using but the 'bad' one has only HSL and RGB. When you determine the RGB numbers that match the HSV values in the 'good' VMG, and enter them into the 'bad' VMG, you can apparently get the color you want, or close to it, but it's a tedious process.
HOW DO I GET THE 'GOOD' VMG WHEN EDITING OLDER .VEG FILES?

Thanks for your help!

You can't. Those are 2 different text generators (plugins)

Really? But the odd thing is, I still get the 'bad' VMG even after I've saved the .veg file to the new format. And it can't be just a matter of creating vs. editing since, when I go back and edit a recently created .veg file, I get the same 'good' VMG I generated it with originally.

Furthermore, it seems the only time I ever see the 'bad' one is in re-editing old .veg files. That is, even the old ones were initially created using the 'good' VMG...
